These are the core beliefs of House Church of Southwest Iowa. Our teaching and ministry are rooted in and flow from these foundational truths taught in the Bible.

Discipleship

Discipleship every day. Following Jesus isn’t confined to Sunday mornings.

Community

Community over crowds. We want people to know and be known.

Jesus Christ

Jesus is our foundation. Everything begins and ends with Him.

The Church

The Church is better together. We gladly partner with other Bible-believing churches throughout Southwest Iowa.

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit leads us. We depend on His guidance in everything we do.

Multiplication

Multiplication is our mission. We aren’t trying to build one large church. We want to see healthy churches and Gospel communities established throughout Southwest Iowa.

We believe the entire Bible is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

What this means for you

The Bible Is Truth

Because we believe the Bible is true,
we teach from Scripture and equip people to live it out every day.

Jesus Saves

Because we believe Jesus saves,
we invite people to know Him personally and experience his love.

The Spirit Leads

Because we believe the Holy Spirit is active today,
we seek to live surrendered, empowered lives that honor God.

The Church Is Family

Because we believe the Church is a family,
we make room for people to belong, grow, serve, and follow Jesus together.
